Notes:

Precision ground shaft is 1 meter long by 25mm diameter +0 / -0.005 mm over length.

0.0005" differential measurement over a 40" length is equivalent to 2.58 Arc Seconds alignment

0.001" (0.0254mm) deflection between the Fork Arms requires a force of 2.2 lbs (1Kg)

Bearing concentricity is to 5 Arc Seconds ( 4 matched bearings on a single shaft )

It has been found that bearings have been fitted at the factory skewed in the housing. Such must be removed and refitted.

If new bearings are fitted it important that they are fitted with Loctite 641 & with Activator 7471 applied to the aluminum housings. Equivalent bearing fit can be used.

When fitting bearings an alignment shaft is highly recommended.

Loctite is "Harmful" always read safety & handling instructions.
